Here we have a cross shaped cilice for use on the thigh. I love this design! This will typically reach from the top of the thigh down to just above the knee, and the sides will usually wrap about halfway around. This particular one is made with red paradors and stainless steel beads. I try to put a relatively long cord on each area to accommodate many sizes, though the bottom cord is limited on size. The measurements are as follows:
Cross itself: 9.5in left to right, 12.5in up and down
Top cord: 63in total
Middle cords: 24in each side
Bottom cord: 32in total
You will need several inches of play in order to make the tie so please measure your thigh carefully. All my cilices are made with 16g 316L medical grade stainless steel.
